In short no! The number of collectors i see at stage doors etc just keeps growing and most are after signatures !
Just recently i have been asked by various radio shows, Simon Mayo, Evan Davis and Jeremy Vine, plus a call form the Telegraph Newspaper regarding selfies, and are they taking over from autographs.
Well, i don't get into town for premiers and stage doors as often as i once did, but when i do i can confirm that there are now more people wanting autographs then ever. A selfie is fine, but its not something an autograph collector is after, he or she wants a signature first and foremost.
The selfie today has very little value now that we have artificial intelligence, proven by my selfie on this blog of me with the Boss on stage playing guitar. Now i have met Bruce but not on stage and i don't play guitar either, but i do think it looks good though !
So if you bump into Bruce Springsteen one day, get the pen out first and then worry about the selfie!
