Our opinions and valuations are based on almost 20 years of full time autograph experience. We are not a company that is unknown within the business, we don't make unproven claims as to how good we are, nor have we hiden who we are. We are very well known within this business, know what we are talking about, and our claims can be easily checked.

Any opinion is given directly by the owner of Autografica, Garry King, a very well respected name within the autograph business, and one with more full time experience in dealing with autographs than most. Garry has provided expert witness testimony for both the Police and Trading Standards,  Written a number of articles on autographs, and been written about by a number of national newspapers and magazines. Garry has also been featured on over 30 radio stations including Chris Evans and Steve Wright on Radio 2 and was awarded the UACC Dealer of the Year in 2000 and Presidents Quality award in 2006 and is currently the Vice Chairman of AFTAL. 

Our pricing for authentication varies, but starts at £19.95 for a single signed item (although never more than £39.99). Why? simply because some signatures are easier to authenticate than others, some items may have more than one signature, and this means that we may have to spend more time on one item than another.

Each item will be expertly examined and comparisons made from our many thousands of  exemplars that we have in our library. Only after we have made all our checks will an item be deemed authentic by ourselves and then given a valuation for insurance purposes.

Each item will recieve our embossed Letter of Authenticity and Valuation, and where possible our hologram will also be added (shirts etc are unsuitable for this addition).

Items can be evaluated either at our premises or by post, or via a scan, although if we can only see a scan, then the LOA will make it clear that we have never seen the item itself, and that it could be a printed signature.

If the items are sent to us, they must be sent via Special Delivery and will then be returned the same way. The cost of this will be your responsibilty. Turnaround can vary but is rarely more than ten days.

If you have already used our quick opinion service, and you then go ahead and buy the item, we will deduct the original fee from any further authentication service you take with us. 

This will not only add value to your item, but will also make it easier to sell and ensure that if the item is lost of stolen, then you will be able to make an insurance claim as well.
